Default Smog pump eliminator

Well, if anyone read my newest thread about my problem with my water pump, this next question is kinda related to it. Do I need any certain kind of smog pump eliminator or as long as it uses the stock belt, (no underdive pulleys), will I be ok? I saw 2 on 50resto, one was $50 and the other was $80. The more exensive one looks more like an OEM part to me though. If I do this to my 93, it won't bring up any check engine lights, will it?

We used the cheaper one from summit racing on my freinds 92 LX. It works fien and dropped a good bit of weight off the car. I think we lost 10 pounds of crap or more i forget now what the total was.

I ordered the cheap one from Summit as well. I don't care about weight loss, but will I gain any extra hp from doing this?

probaly not i would send it back and run a shorter belt and you might gain a little amount of power because it would be less stress on the motor and less things to spin. On mine i by pass the air conditioner and smog by running a smaller belt.

Well, I was hoping that someone would've told me the shorter belt number was today, so I could've picked it up tomorrow, after work....
