Head, cam, intake is what you should put your money too. You can get used intakes and heads for not much money at all. Myself i am a Truckflow head kind of guy that or AFR 165's or 185's depenidng on mods and goals with the car.

woot, thanks for the help thus far, i got setup with a local shop "Miller Performance" here in wyoming. Could you all explain the Mass Air Flow, i get the car for xmas so ill be taking it to them they said itll take two seconds to see if the car has it. plans for now are 350whp NA and then KB or another supercharger plus NOS with build time estimated around 2 years and itll be a sunday car for the track.

Would anyone reccomend MAC pro dumps?

Here is a kit that is similar to what I am going with and it should give u some serious horsepower.
http://store.summitracing.com/partde...5&autoview=sku

After that put some headers and gears on and ur good to go.

I know its hard but try not to go too far. I gotta upgrade my valvetrain and pistons since I went too far. Cost me an extra 800 or so.

yes thanks for that info, i bookmarked it.

money isnt that big of an issue coming from an Acura RSX, don't flame me lol i have the best of both worlds.

but yeah its around 1200 for headers and 600 for exhaust, with a better intake mani, with that im at 200whp lol, so im looking close to the same price for that Summit Racing Kit, so im in shock how cheap the parts are for this 5.0 and how much HP i can get for my $.

Always been an american muscle kid, my dad had Two GTO's 70 somethings 3 old school ponies one grand national and now his boat (64 pontiac boneville with a 389)

brief history back to 5.0 with the pro dumps ill need an h pipe correct?

Whats your budget?

The first mod is a flip of a coin, between gears and SFC's.

what are some places to find gears? anyone have an easy link.

also i want this as a drag/street drag car only, not a daily driver. What gears would work best if i build my engine for mild drag? Manufacturer and ratio plz

what year? fox bodies usually put down 160-190rwhp depending on year in the 5.0 motor class. Tq usually ends up in the high 200's close to 300 and frequently over.

This Torque is something way new to me and im loving it

Ill be taking her to the shop once the weather clears up i think im heading with Gears and MAC Pro Dumps first.

Its an 88 GT, um i also found out the catalyic converters have been removed along with the CAI. Id be happy with 200 hp and ~200-300tq for a baseline.
