Talking cobra engine

ok so i just started working and i am planing on swaping out the engine for a newer 5.0 efi engine but i got to thinking and i would like a cobra engine but a cobra engine would be kinda hard to find so what would i have to change on the 5.0 efi engine to make it a cobra engine

heads n stuff... not sure the specifics...

why don't you just build your engine...

It is much easier and cheaper to build a carb'd engine then an EFI engine...

you would need gt-40 heads, intake, cobra cam. I would not use the cobra cam and get something more radical. But if i was you i would just get some heads a new intake and carb and go with that.

well i could just get a new intake but then for me to have the same power i would need to put in a pertty big carb and i would just be wasting even more gas than i already do i am looking for something a little faster and i am also doing this cuz i have to overhaul my engine cuz its already smoking and well i would spend the same amount of cash

it deffinatly wont be the same amount of cash to rebuild your short block and do heads, intake, cam. then getting a new "cobra" long block and all the wiring and ecu crap you will need to make it work. Do yourself a favor keep it carbed get a set of heads, intake, cam, new carb and be done with it.

It would cost an almost rediculous IMO ammount...

new computer and harness and engine and mounts and all the misc crap to make it all work...

Ya'll make more power for alot cheaper if you stick w/ the carb and get 5or 6 less MPG

so if you wanna spend a few extra thousand dollars for 6 MPG then... hey, whatever floats yer boat
