Adjustable Clutch Cable and Quadrant Kits

Good question. I have a new quadrant and firewall adjuster sitting in my house needing to be installed.....anways, I've heard it's a great mod and makes the car better to drive. One thing I was advised on is to keep my stock clutch cable because they are much stronger than aftermarket cables.

actually the qaudrant is better than stock for the simple reason of the cheap plastic that ford uses, the teeth on it can grind and break and then there you sit on the road with no clutch. as far as the cable i kept the factory on and in case of anything i have the other for emergencies i guess

I love it, Just finally got it installed about 2 wks ago and it is an excelent addition! easy to install to! I do suggest getting the clutch pedal stop as well.

You will want to take your seat out to do the install, and I do warn you, your back will be aching like a **** afterwards, but it's woth it in the end.
As far as the clutch cable goes, the steeda cable is fine and your OEM cable won't work with the adjuster anyway (as far as I could tell.)

I've bought both the quadrant and cable for my stangs. The cable is easy to install, the quadrant is a pain in the butt. You don't have to take out your seat, just lay on your back, but yeah, you back will hurt like a mug.
If you've been to the track and the teeth on the stock quadrant slip, your pedal will feel really lose but the stock ones are adjustable, you just lift on the clutch pedal, towards you. But if you've had the teeth break, my 95GT, that's sucks a$$. I was always told that the aftermarket cables were strong, like a brand name though, not some no namer off of ebay.

And i've had NO problem with the Steeda Cable, same width and material as the stocker, just missing one of the gaskets that the OEM has.
