Default V6 exhaust setup

Im looking to throw on dual exhaust onto my '96 and I came across that v6 dual exhaust adapter kit and it claims that if I use that I can throw on any v8 style exhaust.

Just curious, but how does it work with the stock y-pipe?

It doesnt work with the stock y. Most of the adaptors you cut the y and add an addaptor (weld it on) to make it into an H-pipe. I think its easier and cheaper to just get the mac bolt on H-pipes and then you can run any GT catback.
