I just got the car and it has probably one of the ugliest wheels Ford ever made on it. I am looking to change but I kinda want something different than the normal "mustang" wheels. I kinda have narrowed it down to the following
The SSR are probably without question the best quality wheel but I am not sure they fit a mustang look. I think I like the Ruff Racing 278 the best but I am questioning the quality since they are an ebay wheel. If someone could do a photo shop that would be awesome. Here is my car ![]() TSW Thruxon - Anthricite 18 X 8.5 and 18 X 9.5 - $800 ![]() Kazera KZA - Silver 18 X 8.5 and 18 X 9.5 - $670 ![]()

Quick chops, just to give you an idea. These are by no means meant to be pretty chops.

Well, the Kazera's basically look like Lances wheels, just not black.
The GT7's kinda resemble FR500's, but don't look as nice. The Thruxon would look nice with some shiney rotors and painted calipers, but that's the only way. And the Ruff wheels would be nice, but I wouldn't trust anything from eBay that has the rivets. Spells rust to me. I think it's a toss up between the Kazera's, and the Thruxon's. My I think it's the Kazera's FTW. |

My $0.02.. I don't care for any of them.
The second set is ok, but that's it imo. I really like Motegi Touge's. |

Here are my plans for the car thus far: Appearance - Already have mach 1 chin and 14" antenna on order. Probably going to get grille delete as well. I have an appointment for next week to get her tinted as well. I am still not sold on the light bar, I like them but maybe not enough to drop 400 on one. Power - I ordered a bassani cat-back today. I already have the t-trim kit I got for my 98. Looking to get a new bracket and pump then I will be done with the motor until it dies on me. Suspension - I am undecided at this point. I want to maintain a good ride as my primary concern, I am not into drag racing the car but once a year or so. I like the twisties but not enough to shell out the dough needed to do it right. I am probably just going to get a set of springs and some nice shocks/struts and be done with it. I am looking for a 1" drop and not much more. Wheels - Obviously the bullits, I got the 17s. I am going with 275/315 sumitomos again.

My opinion is the first two that you posted look just like Cobra wheels except not as nice looking.. so if u wanted one thats somewhat "different" than what everyone else does i would go with #3. #4 just seems to much wheel for the car in my opinion.

i have the chrome Ruff 278s and im real satisfied with them. i wouldnt have bought them straight up because of the price. i bought mine used with brand new tires for the price of just the rims new.

i was only commenting on the wheels...i knew he bought bullitts. i was just commenting on how Ruff wheels are good wheels. just not well known in the mustang world. they are typically found on rear drive imports like 350Zs.
