Default 99-04 Cowl Carbon Fiber Hoodz

Does anyone on here have a COWL carbon Fiber hood? Where did you get it from? I have 2 sites im looking at right now www.mrbodykit.com and www.body-kitz.com . that I may purchase the hood from!

Anyways..Once I receive the hood, will the carbon fiber hood bolt up at the same bolt locations as my stock hood bolts up to? Is there a hood latch on the carbon fiber hood, just like the stock hood? will I NEED "real" hood pins?

Thanks for anyones insight on this...i just like to know what to expect before handing out money....

oh..and Because of the raised hood...will my car pass inspection with the hood???

Don't even buy your hood from those places!!!

VIS is the only one in a CF hood I would trust.........

+1 for VIS Racing. Here's that same hood again. Time to pic ***** Also. The hood bolts up to the same factory spots and uses the same factory hood latch. I would still recommend "REAL" hoodpins. I'm installing my pins this weekend

Those two sites stated before use VIS products. VIS and Seibon are the only 2 companys that you can get CF products from right now, Military baught out the overseas factorys. As far as i know VIS is the ONLY company that does make the cowl hood in CF anyway. Ordering straight from VIS will more than likely be a bit more exprensive unless you are a business that has an account with them, otherwise i'de go through someone like Keystone, NOPI, or a local performance/cosmetic shop.

BTW; definatly install hood pins....otherwise the hood will begin to seperate and rip the top layer off going down the road. Also be sure to get it clear coated to.

www.body-kitz.com says that there CF hoods are from VIS..
I went directly to the VIS website to take a look at the pricing, but I have to call. The hood at body-kitz is listed at like $749+30 for shipping to my house. how much did your hood cost u directly from VIS?

I've been looking for a pic of a carbon fiber hood on a yellow 99+ Mustang. Anyone have one? What are your thoughts on CF on yellow?
