8 lbs = pretty safe
10 lbs = on the brink 12 lbs = I have plans for a new motor anyway So, if you are ready for a new motor anyways, up the boost. There are actually some tuners who think 12 lbs is the limit. Do you have a cooler?

Its not so much the boost as the power your making and the heat being produced. If you were pushing 400rwhp i wouldn't go higher. If you have high intake air temps from no intercooler or shitty intercooler setup i wouldn't go higher either. Both of those are bad no so much low amounts of boost like 10-12psi.
But thats me; im a little more outgoing when it comes to making power. Some people wont do more then 8psi. Whats your current setup and numbers?
