Default should I make the switch?

guy has a paxton I/C kit he wants to sell me. I saw some pics and I love how the intercooler is mounted using all the factory stuff. plus it MAY be a little more efficient because it uses shorter piping.....He wants $800 for it. I was planning on spending $200 for a smaller IC that I could mount behind the bumper anyways....

So I could sell my BTI kit with Ebay intercooler to make up for some money it would cost me. But, is it really worth the money to swap? I know my setup right now is pretty efficient, but I just like that paxton I/C alot....it has a mount for the hood latch support bar, hangs from 2 stock holes and attaches again under the radiator support....

800 sounds like a steal compared to what i paid. that is like a 50% discount LOL

on mine i didnt use the hood latch support it didnt line up for some reason. the hanging tabs with nuts and bolts up top are secure enough and the sheet metal screws keep it in place under radiator support. downside is that you have to extend the powersteering lines and put a spacer to keep the cooling line from chaffing on the intercooler. one pipe for the hotside of the cooler and 2 straight and one 45* tube for the cold side. i know one car that made 700 hp using a novi 2000 and paxton cooler.

dude if he sells it to you with the bypass than that would sweeten the deal. paxton intercoolers dont pop up to often so they usually fetch 600-800 dollars depending on condition and hardware. plust the mini race is ready to mount

this isnt the guy that is having back-wash problems is it?

no hes not having problems and it doesnt come with the bypass but it already has the flange. He wants $150 for the bypass.....

i know my cooler has some licks on it from driveways. so its up to you. try to haggle with the guy.

theres this dude i hang out with here in germany he has a BTI cooler hooked up to a vortech 3.1 pulley and 10-12 psi. ill see if i can get the dimensions.

hes not answering his phone. sounds like you want but cant justify the cost of it....i know how you feel. with the money i get now there is no way i could spend 800 on a mod at this time.

yea I really dont NEED it, but I just like it alot. I like the BTI kit too, but I just want the best fitting kit possible plus I want to put a new uncut bumper support back on there. I figured I could sell the BTI kit for maybe $400-500 but it would take some time....
