THIS IS NOT A PART QUESTION BUT A FORD SERVICES QUESTION:

i have been looking at this cobra for a while. its an 03 with "the tick". 14k miles. what damages can the tick cause. also i have been told that even if the warrenty ran out, that for would replace it because it was a defect. is this true? thanks in advance randy!

 

well Im not a tech, but I'll try and answer your question. the tick could cause some excessive valve train wear and it will be up to your local dealer to fix under waranty, so I cannot say for sure if its covered. if you shoot me the vin #, I'll run it through our service dept and see what they say
