are there any left of the first batch?

Runners are reportedly just about 9-11" depending on how you measure. They're a lot like the runners in my intake but they enter into a bigger box and have better entrances. You can use one of the setups I've been working on for the HPS intakes. twin 90deg cone discharge foggers, one front and one back through the wall of the lower plenum pointed upward, one for each bank of cylinders. Above 3K rpm there's about zero chance of puddling any fuel.

Or if you're going to keep the shots pretty big (minimum 150, 175-200 ideal) you can do the spray bar setup on the bottom cover. Best part of that one is it's totally invisible. It'll require a little fab work and more lines but it's wicked. I had trouble finding the spray bars. Ended up tearing apart 2 big block plate kits for the prototype. Prototyping also exposed the requirement for fairly large shots. You fasten each F/N bar pair to the bottom cover aimed at the runner inlets, one front and one back running parallel to the long axis of the engine. Toss in the right jets for your shot and go nuts. I saw spattering of the fuel charge (simulated with water) in testing on the vacuum jig with less than 75hp jets front and back and 100hp jets seemed to be ideal. But, that isn't any good for the 4.6's since most cap their hits on those at 125-150, so I didn't submit it to HPS for production. I'd be happy to help you work it out if you want.
Tell me more about the n20 kit? I know I will never dip below a 150

My factory K member was bent from a slight run in with a curb so It was all I could do to keep my only car on the road ..

Well, the teardown has begun... Good thing too because a couple of the bearings had some appreciable wear on them. I just placed my order for main & rod bearings and piston rings. While I wait for them to come in, I will take the block to get degreased and give it a coat of paint.

Pics of the teardown:

Anything you need to know... the basic design hasn't matured very far but it was pretty good to start with. I made some stand-off's out of 16ga sheet metal (-^- shaped) for the bottom cover and mounted the spray bars to those about 5/16" off the floor. I put a little RTV on the screws that held the stand-offs in place, and notched the standoff's so the spray bars sat down in them a bit. One for the front 4 holes, one for the back 4 holes, used -4 bulkhead fittings to penetrate the front and back of the bottom cover and, jet accordingly.

You can use the twin fogger setup just the same way but it requires indexing the nozzle and drilling and tapping the cover at a pretty specific angle (~10deg below the horizontal) which is fun but not impossible. Be careful with the fogger setup not to stress the threads too much on the nozzle... the bottom cover wall is kinda thin. You can move the foggers up to the main wall but I liked the idea of a removable kit based on bottom cover swapping.

im not much of a fab. person so ill tell u guys what.........if someone was to make that bracket work for me i would pay for the things that need to be bought

ex. the aluminum and the aluminum stand-offs, etc.

i would of course give some extra money for the time taken to make this piece...... as long as the price is reasonable i would let you choose how much.

and of course i would pay to get it shipped.

if anyone would want to do this give a shout.

You want to try to explain that a little better?? What kind of bracket are you looking for? I can access some CAD data of these engines and can design you up a bracket If I knew what your needs are.

sorry about that guys. i was wanting someone to make the procharger p-isc bracket thats for a 99-04 mustang to be able to work on my 5.4 when it gets put in.

correct me if i am wrong but the truck blower kits have the blower and all going on the drivers side.....and as we all know on the mustang it goes on the passenger side.

so long story short i need it to work on the passenger side with the 5.4 swap.

The only way I'd be able to do that is to start with a drawing of the current bracket and modify it to work with the attachments on the 5.4 front cover. Then supply the drawing back to you. You can then take it to a machine shop for someone to make it for you. This route would not be very cheap though. My side-work CAD rate is $45/hr, and to draw up that bracket, and modify it you would be looking at roughly 4-6 hours. Then you will need to take it to a machine shop that usually charge ~$75/hour to have it made up.
Your other option is to take the existing bracket with the front cover and s/c to a machine shop and explain what you are trying to accomplish. They may be able to modify your existing bracket to work on the 5.4 cover.

that would be the easiest way to start. It's a matter of making 3 holes work... that's it.

If you had a way to get me the blower, stock bracket and timing cover, I could easily make whatever you needed to make it fit. However, me being a stranger over the net I know thats not gonna happen and I dont blame you.
jscott, did the plates show up yet? Dude never PM me back with the tracking number, and I fig they will be there before my shipping company can give me a copy of the tracking number.
BTW, im slither on corral

i may have a guy close to home that i know well. next time i see him ill see what he can do.

i know this sounds stupid but it would be cool to see a twin supercharged 5.4. custom blower bracket for one centri. on the passenger side and the regular drivers side 5.4 blower bracket to have another centri.

if i saw that my face would go for like a year.

I have not received anything yet... I'm hoping to see it on the porch today. I'm assuming that shipping time from VA to MI should put it here roughly today. I will PM you when it does arrive. Thanks again!

I was also hoping to receive all my bearings and piston rings by the weekend so I could start the rebuild. I should have all the bearings by today, but the rings wont be here until Monday... so the rebuild will have to wait until next week. In the meantime I will start to yank the 4.6 out and have it ready to swap over the heads.

Well count me as one plan on putting the vortech from the 4.6 on the 5.4 and was wondering about the mounting myself but just building the short block now and will worry more about that later

You could put it all together and use a block of wood to figure out the hole pattern that needs to be drilled and then somebody could copy it onto a block of aluminum.

Killer plan. 1/2" plywood would be fantastic as a pattern medium since it's the same thickness as the mounting plate will need to be and it's super easy to work with. You can use a dremel and a cutting bit like a jigsaw.

That would be sick. It'd make killer power too. Another thought would be compound boost. You could easily have one pump into the other and see ludicrous boost. Be a definite eye popper.

I've done business with single. He's never given me any reason to question his honesty or integrity. If you want to work with him on your bracket I can vouch for him keeping his word. He's shown great integrity in my dealings with him.

cardude! Where is your location!

I own a machine shop! I also have a CAD/CAM program that works great with my CNC's.
I also have a few 2V covers and one 4V cover. The 2V covers are pre-'00 and '00-up not sure if their is any diffrences. I really haven't looked at them close. I'm more then less stating that the covers I have are NPI and PI. You could send the bracket to me and I could work out the details and then document what is needed for others out there doing the same.

FREE OF CHARGE!

do you think a 1" thick piece would be way too much for a bracket? i have a 15 x 15 piece i was going to use to make y blocks but could use it for a bracket for the blower.
