I have heard an SLP Loudmouth with an SLP o/r X pipe and it is insanely loud. It is about three times louder than with a catted SLP X pipe, cuz my cAr was right next to his.

I see you live in Cali and you have off road X pipes. Are they loud enough to be noticed by the police? I want to get an o/r X-pipe but am afraid of getting a fine.

Thumbs up SLP Loudmouf

Yes, even the catted X is loud with the cat-back. But the beauteeeful thing about this combo is, if you don't stick your foot inside the TB, it ain't that loud. I have the off road pipe inserts for my X-pipe, but will not be putting them in (for the first time) until spring. That will be louder, I'm sure. And it is kinda annoying, decibel wise, cruising at a steady 80 mph on the interstate; but I don't do that a whole lot. I gotta tell you, all in all, I LOVE this combo!

Thumbs up Inserts

They are straight pipes that go in the place of the hi-flow cats on the X-pipe. You just loosen 4 clamps and switch them out. I bought mine here at MT, I'm pretty sure they still sell them. I am confident, that when summer does come and I head out to the track, they will be worth the extra small coin I dished out for them.

I was thinking about that X-pipe the one where you can switch between "race pipes" and cats. I heard that the "race pipes" are supposedly legal? How do you think an o/r SLP X-pipe will sound on a stock Saleen cat-back with Borla mufflers?

Thumbs up SLP X w/ Borla

Awesome....it will probably raise the exhaust note a little; X-pipes tend to do that. I had Borla on my previous Mustang, I really liked the sound, but the prices, ugh!

Simmer down there, Mario. Take a breath.
He's just trying to get some input, that's all. And I get compliments on the sound of my car all the time, too. We both know he won't regret the purchase, but he's gotta decide.

Cats = legal
no cats = not legel

a catted xpipe literally gives u 1 hp less where the GT's powerband goes, on a cobra or mach 1 when you are around 6800 rpm then its a real cork, I think I'll stay legal and not worry about the man and pollution on my car, i don't need a $500 fine, thats money for headers its bad enough too worry about pigs with how loud it is. So do you U N D E R S T A N D

Ohh..you worried someone might mistake your mustang for some "rice"? This forum doesn't need a dip**** like you to continue posting so take your *** back to Candyland.

That hood is aftermarket - look at the dual scoops. Its either primer black or carbon fiber.

hah, yeah, poonstangs hood is currently black, and i believe he is on his way to getting it painted. Even then, giveing the mustang a two tone apearence is a not-all-to-common but still a good looking option. (think Boyd Coddington roush mustang!) Bling bling? Chrome Cobras? ... w/e

the two soundclips are on the H Pipe side towards the bottom.. theres also one under magnaflow, comparing the two.
