4V SLP Cat back & SLP catted X pipe

Seems most vids are of 2V motors which sound great, but don't help out those with 4V's as we all know do have a different tone.

So here is what mine sounds like with the SLP Cat Back and SLP catted X-pipe. Only other mod done so far is a K&N Air Filter.

the KB's scream louder in my opinion...but I love that sound...that look liked one of the 2004 Special edition Mystic colored Cobras...damn my dad was lookin at one...but dealer was askin 10 over invoice...

You know it all depended on the dealership you have in your area. Here in Raleigh, NC, we have 4 large dealerships in the area. Two that are very large and they each own one of the smaller dealerships. Between all 4 dealerships there were 8 Mystichromes on the lots. And it took them a while before they realized that people were not going to pay over sticker, myself included.

I waslked out the door at $34K for mine and I know of one person who paid $32K for his. The funny thing about mine is that I went to a car show and the dealership who was sponsoring the show had it on display. I had no intention of buying it as I wanted a Comp. Orange and knew a dealership that had two on the lot. One thing lead to another and I ended up trading in my 99 GT for it. I was in the right place at the right time.

Even though I own one, I can tell you that I'm a fan just like you are of the color and whenever I see one, I'm always envious of the other car and hope mine looks as good.

To make things worse, when I do see a Comp. Org Cobra, I always wish I had the money to be able to afford two Cobra's. Maybe one day when I hit the lottery!

I'm glad you guys like the vid. I wish I had a picture of all the Vette owners there that were a bit surprised at my numbers. Heck, it took a decently modded 02 Z06 to put down better numbers.

i dont think i could deal w/ the color changing....people would ask and i be like mystic chrome..and they would say what?...then i would have to explain...right now all i gotta say is white..haha....

theres a black one round here thats completely blacked out.....its sweet looking...theyre asking 23k for it and it has 25k miles....i think they want it off their lot to get the new GT 500's

edit: o and they have a ford gt....i hugged it and sat in it..it was SWEET!

That is one thing about owning the Mystichrome, every week I get someone who asks me about the car. If I had a penny for every time I've been asked where I got the car painted, I'd have my whipple on it. I've had people jump out of their car at a traffic light to look at it and other things.

Doesn't matter how old the person is, I've got people of all ages that like to come up and look at it. I never expected to get so much attention over the car.

I have to say, it is worth every penny I've paid for it. Again, I'm lucky to have one.

here's my mystic chrome story.. there's a 2004 at the local dealership here and I live in a fairly small town. Someone actually tried to steal it and wrecked it trying to get it out of the showroom and they ended up getting caught. The dealership didn't turn it in on their insurance or whatever and fixed the cobra themselves, so they sell it at MSRP with a clear title

they still have this car lol

Thanks again all! Don't you just hate it when people don't want to believe what they see? Gets under my skin a bit actually. :loser: I went and dyno'd my car again this week to make sure that the guys dyno I had been using was accurate and not overstating numbers. Turned out a 438 rwhp and 398 rwtq. Pretty close numbers.

Not sure why the tq numbers are lower when I view it on my software, but the hp numbers are the same. So here is the graph:
