First of all, is you name really Blake?

On the cams, I think 20 - 25 rwhp is what you can get from those. Can't help you with the converter question.

i would use a convertor with atleast a stall rating of 3,000rpms anything lower on our 4.6s wont help to much. I had a B&M in my truck (also a 4.6) it was great, but most stang guys seem to like the PI stallion convertors.

yeah but those damn stallions are so flippin expensive. there was a 3200 stall on ebay for 600 buy it now. and if you got it through PI it would cost almost 800

my B&M was like $490ish i think. dropped a half sec in the 1/4 with it. great convertor, i had the nitrous holeshot one. I needed the anti-balloning plates cause something tells me with a 150shot of the giggly gas the convertor wouldnt of lasted long with out it

VT cams are good. Yes a converter for sure. I paid over $700 for mine and its only a single disc. A triple disc is $1000. Going fast costs money. Tranny cooler also. Look for about 20rwhp depending on your supporting mods.

Id say go with the PI converter LONG before you ever put in cams. You will see a huge increase in performance with that stall converter. Then, on the subject of Stage 2 Vt's, some people (they had a 5 speed mind you) have seen 50 hp gains under the curve. That is with nothing else on the car I believe, no longtubes or anything. There was a post on Modulardepot. I think peak gains with them are around 20 for the stage ones, and 30 with the stage 2s. Dont forget new valvesprings and a tune are required for the stage 2's, so its pretty big dough.
