Bad News
Last night I sat down and had a big talk with my folks and they said at the end i am only allowed while in high school to do basic performance mods but i can do any visual mods i want. Any suggestions for visual stuff and which "basic" mods should i get? :sad5: :tearyeyed :BangHead:

Blower = basic mod, they come stock on cobras
Stuff they probably couldnt tell were there
Shifter, pulleys, plenum, tbody, K&N, T/A or Programmer
Cheap stuff but noticeable
Mufflers or cat-back, mid pipe
Visual
Better wheels and subtle stuff.

My parents were the same way, its no big deal. Just make your car look nice, then in 2 years you can dig into the motor.

Just prepare the car completely for the blower then man. This is perfect timing for you man, just be optimistic about it and youll be happy. Take the time to build the rear end, get a new clutch, build the suspension and save some money for the blower kit. Its not such a bad thing, they are just making sure you really want to use your money for it. Its just like my parents man, the same thing. Put some loud exhaust on it to make you happy and make it fun to drive. Then maybe a grill delete and chin spoiler the make it look better. Then just do the small stuff to prepare your car for the blower.

i agree work on the suspension and braking. that way when you get your SuperCharger the car will be the total package: speed and handling.

What they are saying is... upgrade minor stuff NOW to set up for the blower LATER, AFTER school. I don't think your picking up on the idea of what these people are telling you. Minor as in exhaust and other misc. engine, along with some suspension, braking might be costly for a "minor" mod. My parents are the same way... but what I can pay for and they don't know or can't tell doesn't hurt them.

Suspension isnt expensive if you buy it piece by piece. Same with other stuff on our cars.

Yeah... the $5,000 it takes to really mod out a Mustang would've helped a ton to pay for the $120,000 I spent on college! I've always loved that argument... I lived like a pauper in HS to save up money for college... made it up to like $4,000... that bought books my first year

I think Colleges are really over priced...like beyondddddd
I do whatever I want with my own money. My parents dont give me anything beyond my weekly allowance for food and gas ($60) and the rest I get from work. I keep saving my money but it always ends up getting wasted at clubs and parties
