t's been 3 weeks since my accident at work, where the balcony railing on the 2nd floor snapped, and i fell onto the concrete 10 feet below breaking my arm. Anyhow, my leg has been hurting me since the fall, and last Friday, my doctor scheduled me for an MRI today @ 9:30 am. SO I went to the appointment, only to find out that I have a non-displaced fracture of my right hip. Thankfully it won't need surgery, but it keeps me out of commission for 3 - 7 more weeks as this kind of injury takes about 6-10 weeks to heal.

On top of all this, my doctor has virtually ordered me to bed rest. I am not allowed to bear any weight on my right foot without the use of crutches. Well since my right arm is broken I can't properly balance myself with just one crutch to get around. A wheelchair won't do any good, because I can't push myself anywhere, and we have to wait for the workman's comp company to get me a motorized wheelchair.

On the bright side of things...once I am all healed and back on my feet...i should end up with a very nice settlement.

Ah I'm sorry to hear that you were hurt. It sounds like your injuries will eventually heal, which is good news. It sounds like you'll get a pretty nice settlement out of the deal! Hang in there

Beware of the company you work for. Most big Corps can be ruthless when it comes to workmans comp.. Make sure your doctor is involved 100% when it comes to work restrictions. Believe me, some companies will make want you to show up for work just to minimize the workmans comp headaches. (come to work and just take it easy). And as for a settlement from your company,, You may need a lawyer. Just my 2 cents, but if it's a corporation in any manner you will be the little guy going against the big guy..

i have already hired an attorney, and I have 2 very good doctors...and they aren't trying to rush me through anything. I'm doing exactly what they say, and all that good stuff.

thx for the get well wishes, I appreciate it.

hopefully when this is all said a done, some forged internals and a wicked supercharger will find their way into my car via a nice settlement.

something to look forward to!!!
