yeah those slp's are loud to no end. I got beside a 98 GT with them and we hollered at each other. This was a few days after I got my flowmasters. Ha ha we caught a light and he jumped on it on the green and I cruised past him. But geez that thing was lod as heck. Couldn't hardly hear my car cept for the tires barking in 2nd and 3rd..

Still an SLP fan here! I only get compliments on it, but it is loud....sometimes too loud to enjoy the car. But, I will tell you one thing, the combination of a blower whine and the SLP at 2,000 rpms cruising around town makes the car sound like it could have a 1000 hp.
I will say that if this was my DD, it would be too loud for me.
Some of your guys who complain that SLP is too loud I bet drive your stangs as your only car. Chosing an exhaust is a very personal thing. It is not only what you like to hear, but you also have to consider how you use the car as well as where you live. At work, I park in the executive parking lot. If I had to drive my stang every day to work, I can tell you that it would be a problem.

I would probably be happier with something a bit more aggressive than flowmasters, but not as pure loud as slp's. One good thing about flowmasters is you can make them loud and raspy with the right rpm range, or you can make them that nice rumbly sound at another rpm range, I never had a muffler that has so many different sounds at different rpms. I'm still getting used to it. I hardly ever listen to the radio anymore lol..

SLPS are very loud and I may switch if my daughter thinks its too loud. Since it was only a weekend car and my daughter was not born yet it was OK. l like Rustmasters but they rust as the 2 chambers rusted from the inside but outside looked ok. I may try the slp2 or add on a muffler using slp pipes if noise level is too much since Im getting LT headers. SLPs are different and thats why some people dont like it. Different strokes for different folks.

I agree 100%. If the stang was a weekend fun car that was sc'ed, then I'd be SLP all the way. But for everyday driving, plus interstate, plus trying to talk to others or hear the radio, it gets in the way.
