My 99 does this and my understanding is that the transmission has a problem. Thats what i was told. I've got 95K. If i take off easy is feels fine when it shifts. Fulid flush did not seem to help much.

Tires chirping means you're just losing traction between the shift. People like to brag about how they can do it, but really it isnt a good thing because you're losing traction. Maybe its good because you're shifting fast, but you want to avoid losing traction.
