What does it mean when U have an automatic transmission..and it does not shift until the needle hits redline...? even under grandmother driving style?????

This is what my 99 nissan sentra is doing...I hope its not a MAJOR issue that will cost ALOT of money to fix.......

so...why aint my car shifting when its suppose to?????? any guesses?

yea in my 93 mustang the car will occasionally not shift or it will shift very late. I took to a local mechanic and was told it was the throttle valve cable. I am just going with what I was told.

Don't quote me on this but I think this sounds similar to something I heard and the fix was to replace the vacuum modulator.
