But wouldn't be much cheaper to just buy the cutouts?...I dont see any disadvantages of them: loud when you want it to be, quiet when you want it to be, cheaper than a full exhaust and similar performance. Correct me if I am wrong.

nope..you will lose alot of low end torque if u run cut outs..and just running headers sounds like *** imo..unless its a full you race car...plus..you will learn to hate drivng w/ open headers

i have 2 cutouts for sale, they arent electric but u jsut have to unscrew the bolts real quick and its loud and then bolt the caps back on for them to be quiet, u dont even need a jack (well depends if your cars lowered real low but i didnt, and my cars lowered) Just let me know i dont need em anymore i got new mufflers and xpipe so i want em anymore jsut let me know
thanks

summit sells em. 2v don't bother unless you're doing something like road course or open road racing. until you get really high in the rpm window (and going mighty fast) they're disturbingly loud and dont' do jack for power but lose you some low end grunt.

4v should have a fairly tall gear before these become a good idea.
