ya i know my buddy has a dumb on his truck and its pretty sick
and on the other car he has it has cutouts
i think there awesome but no one talks about em so i was wondering
if there was like something bad about em?

you lose a little bottom end normally by uncorking the pipes in that way. They're great if you're going to do a top speed run or a drag race but other than that there's little use to them but making it loud.
If you're using an offroad h/x pipe and performance mufflers w/ turndowns then you're already pretty close. No need to add one more part to the car.

No one uses them on a mustang because its not really needed. The F body guys use them because it helps the shitty Y-pipe breath better when you make some power, and then you can close it up to make it quiet for street driving. Also unless its electric ones they are a pain in the *** to deal with all the time. I brazed a set onto my old roommates 94 z28 with bolt on's and nitrous and it was cool, but a pain to have to get out and open it up every time he wanted it louder and to flow better.
