Yuck. That thing sounds like crap. I would prefer an n/a car with radical cams over that any day of the week as far as sound is concerned. I really do not like "hey, hear my blower" stuff. It is a loud whine. How can that sound good?

Its kinda like a mind thing. We know when we hear whine, it means s/c. and s/c means lotsa power. kinda like hearing a blowoff valve with a turbo'd car when it shifts. If every car made that *shff* sound, itd be no biggie. But when we hear it, it means turbo. and turbo(usually) means power(unless its a pt cruiser, haha). kinda like how cobras LOOK so badass but I think its really in our minds bc we know theyre the top of the bunch in terms of power and speed.

Yep, You hear that stuff and wonder, Hmmm. Should I mess with him or not? and I do agree a cammed out NA car sounds like the heat. I used to have a 79 Z-28. I had a 350 ci, 650 carb, mild cam, and headers w/ stock mufflers and all you could here was that lovely cam. I used to love whoopin the local hot rodders around town. This was in the early 80's so you didn't see much rice LOL. But I still can hear that cam when I think about it. Oh yeah I had an M-22 muncie 4 spd tranny too. Dam thing would rip a stock rear end up.

I am thinking to myself "when does a whine ever sound good?" Never. It sounds exactly like a bearing going bad. This is just not a note I can associate with goodness.

similarly, a crapped out engine can raise and lower rpm's and sound kinda like a wopping of cams. Of course there is a difference, but to an untrained ear, a car with crazy cams could sound like theres something wrong with it.

Exactly, and triple black is black interior, black paint, and black vert top, possibly the sexiest combo ever... lol
And the SC whine is great, although we have made that joke in the past, the 2 mustang's stang00 has owned, if you sloce all the vents inside the car with the AC on full blast, it makes a high pitched whining sound, which is just hysterical to think about 'TURBO POWRRRRR' heh, the same doesnt happen in my car, i guess cause its a SN95
