Just from all the videos I've watched, I think the KB's have the loudest whine. Just watch the Sick Cobra Compilation on streetfire.net

When you see the black Cobra start spitting rubber and doing all that **** then you will know. I believe he has a 2.2 Twin Screw KB SC. He goes by GoneIn10sec on some forums.

Roots style, twin screw SC's are the ones that whines. Centrifugal superchargers make a noise compareable to a squeaky belt.

Actually the KB 1.7's for the GT's arent the loudest out there. Prochargers and Vortech S trims are pretty loud. Yes, the cobra with a KB is a loud one, but most of the KB GT owners say they are pretty quiet.

KB's are only loud when you get on it. They're damn near silent when cruising.

A vortec S trim will probably be the loudest.

::sigh:: does horsepower not matter? Just the whine?

Wait for the 2v whipple and just be done with it...

get a twin screw those fuggers are loud when you get on it. people look at my car funny at stop lights when its idling because it has a different sound. its nothing comparable to a twin screw at idle though. in wot the s/c is pretty quiet. i think my s trim is louder then a P1SC at idle

mine dont sound like a squeaky belt. it sounds like something rachiting and something else. some guy asked if my bearings were going bad in my engine. i could only reply with a i dont know maybe. the supercharger has been on my car for 5k miles so far.

If its a whine you want, a centrifugal is your choice. KB's make awesome power at low rpms but you want hear it as loud at idle as you would a Vortech, Procharger etc.

Here is my clip at idle:
