Default MIL and bad accel.

alright guy my buddy has a 94 and the check engine light is on and sometimes it runs fine and then others about 1500 rpms the has power loss and jerks in any gear at the same rpm it jerks and advice will be apriacted

from what i have found he had some vacuum lines undone and it stoped so of the problems but still happen a little so any advice would help

you need ot run the codes. any autozone advanced ect.. can run the codes and tell you what they are for free.

The scanners they use are for obd1 and obd2 theres a plug adapter they can use, my boy had one he baught from pep boys.

they told him that it had to be obdII or they could not do it but the ones they use here are cheap and only like 4o bucks but it went off now i hooked up some vacuum lines and he said it dont do it as much as before so i figure he has more dry rotted hoses and he has had the car for 5 years and never changed the air filter so what can u do ya know
