Default Shifter makes noise

I just got a manual 2005 v6 about 2 mos ago, and I have noticed that the shifter vibrates a lot and creates an unpleasant noise (usually just in second gear). Yesterday, however, I noticed a metalic rattling sound coming from somwhere underneath it (not underneath the entire car though), and THIS noise happens in every gear (or at least 1-4) when I get into the power band. Any ideas what this is?

thanks

Take it in for service so they can hear the noise. Youll have to duplicate it for em. Get it taken care of right away, and its a part of warrenty so you wont have to pay a dime out of your pocket.

Sadly it seems you were unlucky in your v6. Ive driven a few now and they all seemed like totally different cars. Some were very tight and drove superbly while others drove quite loose... Too bad you cant just exchange em...
