I just got a 1995 3.8 liter V6 and I just want to know what are some performance parts I should look at buying for it.

Your car teh 94-98 have "single port" heads and intakes a simple "split port" swap which is the heads and intake off a 99-04 v6 will add about 50hp i think it is to your motor. its a great swap and will really bring it to life. its also almost a direct bolt on with only a fuel line mod needing to be done which i can tell you how as i have done the swap before myself on my freinds 94 3.8

also off topic kinda, i was wondering if CAI and Gears would be 2 good CHEAP mods to do...thx

if you have some mechanical knowledge its not to hard. just pulling the old heads off and upper and lower intakes. if you search 3.8mustnag.com you can find a writeup on doing the splitport swap.

as for cost well whatever you can find used would be your cost. look for a set of 99+ heads and upper and lower intakes.

If you dont know if you can swap heads or not then do not attempt to. Take it to a shop and save time, money, and a headache.

you deffinatly wont save money having a shop do it. If you have a mustang repair manual like a chiltons etc... and can fallow directions its very easy. its a matter of time and unboltsing parts and re tighting stuff back on. its rather simple. the only real problem is the fact that you have ot use the 99+ fuel rail as the injectors are in different postions aso the early 94-98 fuel rail will not work.

And id you dont knwo the 99+ has a returnles fuel system and the 94-98 has a RETURN fuel syste, again though its a simple mod that i have done where you combine the 99 and later fuel rails together and it works great.

hmmm 50 hp huh? how can that be? if i'm runnin a split port now and they have only 20 hp less then me?

Also, I know super six has lots of stuff refering to cams and manifolds but what other stuff can I do to my 2003 thats cheap?

Monkeh: a CAI is def. cheap and easy to install, gears not so much, maybe 200 + install...
