Default Flowmaster Question

I recently installed a Flowmaster Series-30 on my mustang and was wondering how much Horsepower and Torque it added. I have the stock pipes.

maybe 1 hp and .5 torque. a muffler isnt going to do anything but make it sound different. you may have actually lost power.

Don't upgrade exhaust for power, do it for sound. Doing it for power will just disappoint you.

do research on nitrous if you wanna make your car faster. that is the cheapest and easiest. Or get some 4.10 gears in your diff.

Its not worth the money for the small improvement over stock gears. If you are going to do it, then get 3.73's at the minimum.

as far as base power gains, not anything noticable but if you get good headers with high flow cats and a descent muffler, coupled with intake and a tune then youll get more gain with it all together, cleaner burn, better milage, more power, but just throwin a flow on there is just gonna change the sound.

exhaust/headers won't do **** for ya. The tune is where the power is.

I make more power off no cats, magnaflows, and shorties simply because i'm stroked and run nitrous...

Streetable power? Stick another 4.3 against me and it'll be about an even race.

You do this for sound, if you live in a smog exempt place, get rid of the cats and you'll probalby be happy.

BTW flowmasters are some of the most restrictive mufflers around...I'd recommend someone like borla, bassani, or magnaflow.

LT headers, 2.5" dual exhaust, h-pipe, thrush mufflers dumped (dynomax makes them and the sound identical to flowmasters)

It'll probably sound good (idk) but I doubt that LTs will help out significantly, power wise anyways..

No way a straight through muffler sounds like a chambered muffler. Thrush is made by hooker isn't it? or is it flowtechs off brand?
