Default check manual tranny fluid

where do i check the tranny fluid on my 03 v6. its a stick, and im trying to pinpoint a whining noise in the engine bay. this is one place to start checking, maybe its needs to be filled/replaced, but is there a dipstick or anything like that?

nope no dipstick or anything. You have to jack up the car get under there by the passenger side check the side of the transmission there will be two plugs one on the very bottom and one above that one. DO NOT remove the bottom one it will drain the transmission oil. You need a ratchet to stick in that bolt and loosen it. no socket needed just ratchet itself. Once you remove the bolt stick ur finger in there if you feel oil right under the bottom of that hole the oil is fine.

yeah, just make sure your car is not leaning toward the plug side. i know it's kinda hard to have it level if your jacking it up what i try to do is park whatever side your jacking up on the downhill slope of my driveway and try and get it as level as possible
