Default Gears or Exhaust

I'm looking to add some performance parts to my car. I know Im gonna get a new CAI soon and I'm wondering if I should get gears or exhaust?

Gears will increase the acceleration from a dead stop right? Will I see more significant changes if I get gears over dual exhuast or something like that?

I understand how gears work, I just don't know what the difference will feel like when I'm driving.

You'll notice a bigger difference performance wise with gears. exhaust is mostly just a louder car.

Yea if you want faster takeoff gears. If you want it to sound nice taking off slow exhaust. I went with exhaust over gears and kinda wish I did gears first. You will not notice much of anything performance wise with exhaust. It compliments the car very nicely, but it won't get you out of the chute any faster. Maybe some upper rpm gains, but by that time you already look bad against anything fast.

Yeah, if I hadn't gotten such a good deal on my exhaust, I def. would of gone with gears first.

Seems like gears is the way to go from what people are saying. Anyone wanna share how much it cost them to get it done?

I was debating, but I think for right now I'd rather just do a few things to it and ride it out through college then once I graduate get something newer since I'll be able to afford payments on a newer car. I was thinking I'd get CAI, gears, and maybe exhaust done, then leave it be as far as performance goes.

I'm in the same boat, (or car). I'll be heading off to college soon and have a bit of money to spare. as for now, I'm just going with the exhaust. I'll have it look and sound good untill I can afford something better. (like a GT or Cobra!)
