Default straight pipes?

alright guys...you may remember my like 5 threads about exhausts before...i just have one more question tho. i bought the catback portion from a guy that was parting out a mach1. the dude had cut out the mufflers and welded straight pipes in place. so now my question is, if i put this on as is, will it sound like crap with the muffler deletes like they are? if i do put mufflers on, i'll go with mac flowpaths and it'll run me about $100 for the two put together.

so, straight pipes on v6-yay or nay?

either straight pipes or get a Custom H-pipe. Personally I recommend the H pipe its sounds way better Im pretty sure its going to sound like crap without any mufflers.

It will sound awful. Just like any truck and shitbag car with no mufflers. Its cool to you, but not to anyone else and it gets old really fast.

alright, just to make sure i dont spend $109 on the wrong thing lol...the mach1 pipes are 2.25 inches in diameter...so these would be the right mufflers right?

I literally just walked in from installing my true duals (no crossover) with MAC catback and it sounds GREAT! (or at least to me it does) 20x better than stock, nice and deep. I don't have any experiance with other mufflers besides MAC, but I would vouge that they sound good. So my point is that I think you are making a good choice by going with mufflers and picking MAC brand. =D

Actually, I think my sixer sounds much beefier and lower toned than that... =P no that was a complete joke, mine sounds beefy for a V6 (in my opinion) but not like that, lol. That sound clip was nice, considering it was the sound through a camcorder.

I'll see what I can do about the sound clip. When my car warms up, the idleing is quiet, but when you give it a little juice, it livens up.

Is this a difference between the sixers and the gt's? I have straight pipes on my gt and it sounds friggin awesome!!! It's got a nice deep throaty sound but not so loud you can't hear yourself think. One of these days I'll get a sound clip. But seriously is there a difference in the sound of straight pipes?
