Default H vs X pipe exhaust

does anybody know if there are any differences in power and sound between x-pipes and h-pipes? I'm looking to get dual exhaust on my 4.0

H = muscle car sound
X = more rasp

on a v6 don't get an X because its an even firing engine unlike a V8. You can get straight pipes made from the mufflers to the headers or if you really want to buy a midpipe go with an H

i wonder how deeper a V6 sounds like with a mid pipe...and if it adds that gay pop-pop-pop sound...

you know you'll need the h-pipe for the stock short headers, right?

your car is an 07, so i'm guessing the factory hangers don't have a lot of wear on them, but i'm not familiar with the s197 mustang V6 exhaust. its probably a y-pipe, so you might need new hangers. hell, buy them, and if you don't need them you can return them.

actually you cut the y pipe before it joins together but after the cats and just splice in the h-pipe. the kit also includes midpipes and i will get flowmaster gt axlebacks to finish it out. to me this seems like a good idea, but if anybody knows a better way then let me know.

I bought the adapter kit from here and it sounds great along with my Twin Super 40 Series Mufflers, 3" stainless tips, 2.5" outlets.

my car sounds really throaty and muscly around 2,700 rpm or so then really picks up at around 4,000 but it has a real nice deep rumble down low. make a lot of people want to race me because it sounds like a beast when its really a cute lil kittin but who needs a V8 to get speeding tickets when i can do it in a V6 with better MPG to boot!

here is a little clip of what it sounds like from a cruise I went to last week or so
http://motorgen.com/vid/showphoto.php/photo/671/limit/recent

they do a walk through of all the cars skipping my car. my car is at 2:38 really short but just to give u an idea... then i'm at 5:12-5:19 but u cant hear it cuz of stupid music but u can hear the trucks train horn over all a fun night
