Default increasing Brake stiffness

how would go about increasing the brake stiffness of our SN95 mustang V6 brake systems? compared with my gas-saver car, my brakes are really soft...i want a stiffer feel to them. would a brake upgrade do it? or would a simple adjustment work?

Check your brake fluid level. Also check your pads/rotors. If they became squishy after recent service, you may have air in the lines. If they're due for service, fresh fluid will improve pedal feel.

/\ Ya i changed my brake lines a few months ago and for the first week my brakes were crazy soft. After a couple more rounds of bleeding they are back to normal. Just bleed them till you think you have all the air out. Then do it for another half hour!

that might be the issue, cause i have to push my pedal at least halfway to start to get a firm feel on the pedal, and i knwo it shouldn't be this way.

Yeah, air in the lines will do that.

Try getting speed bleeders and installing them, they make it a lot easier to bleed brakes yourself.

Best way is a brake upgrade. Since that is not always do-able/ reasonable at the moment, look at getting some SS braided lines and be sure that your brakes are bled properly. The stock brake lines are made out of rubber and expand under pressure causing that mushy feeling. Some SS lines stay tight and don't expand hardly at all giving the pedal a much firmer feel over stock.
