ok, if you really want a Gt killer, you will need to put in a LOT of money into the ride, and you'll have a stock/lightly modded GT killer. you come across a GT with a lot of money in it, you getting pwned.
well, if you have a 94-04 mustang, you should not do any bolt-ons first. if i were you, i would do a head/cam/intake swap. if you have the 94-98 V6, then you have single port heads and will greatly benefit from a split port swap.
while you have the block apart, i would install forged internals, and look into doing a 4.2L stroker upgrade. the forged internal are key if you want to run nitrous as safely as possible. nitrous is one of the best HP gains for the money, and the best thing is that you can turn it off, and only run it when you need it.
you're going to be putting out power with the above set up, so you'll need to be able to support it. you're probably going to need to upgrade you fuel system, meaning a new fuel pump and larger injectors for the higher fuel demands. you will likely need to upgrade your braking power and your suspension.
drivetrain should be upgraded too. clutch, transmission, gears, driveshaft and axles are all good things to upgrade after you do the other stuff.
finally, the bolt ons. cold air intake and throttle body should be done when you do the h/c/i swap, as well as the exhaust.
also, it should go without saying that you will need to tune the engine pretty much everytime, with the exception of the suspension/braking upgrades.
good luck.

Probably good idea to upgrade your exhaust with any kind of FI to make sure it's flowing good enough, and upgrade your rear end.
Makes 300-320rwhp and 300-320rwtq with our tune.

if money is your problem.....just ebay a sc. a sc is the easiest way and most reliable power you are going to find.
btw engine man kinda hit the whole thing in one go. get a 4.2 from a v6 f150 and stroke that...you will find a lot more tq if you do that instead of just stroking the 3.8L

but 8675309, you should look into a s/c upgrade. i know some guys from my club have pretty much just bolted it on with only needing a tune. they didn't have too many mods before that.

We have a 2008 4.0, Sorry I should have stated that
Also the S/C is a given, what I am trying to get at is with the S/C, what ELSE do we have to upgrade....sorry for not asking a clear question

im a big KB fan...procharger is a pretty easy install though. if its possible ide say get the sc first. the stock v6 exhaust is already pretty good and the stock intake is already a cai. the aftermarket just beathes a bit better. once you get ur engine running slightly better(like after head work and hopefully a stroker kit) then exhaust and intake will be a great way to go. many of the people here will say get gears bc other then a sc they are a great way to feel some extra tq. other then that just the usual bolt ons like tb's and headers should come second. but yes you WILL feel some numbers with just bolt ons alone.
what ive been doing at the shop for A LOT of people with a v6 has been in this order:
gears+ tlock + tune for autos
sc/turbo +tune for manual.
internals
full exhaust system
then after these ive had a few people do engine swaps and then get an 8.8 rear.
im sure you will be flying down the track or the interstate in no time.
edit: P.s were still waiting for some pics!!!!

have someone build you a turbo kit. A guy i know has one of these and has done alot fo research on them. they are a great motor. they come with forged rods from the factory. and good pistons. He was telling me people have had them to 400-450rwhp on stock internals.(with a good tune of course).
With a good turbo kit you will pay alittle more but then you would have a just about anything killer. procharger is a good kit but not efficient enough. turbo kits at the same PSI as me with same setup are making almost 100rwhp more if not more than that.
standards will be good prolly til 350rwhp and auto's til 420rwhp or around there. then the trannies will need to be beefed up or replaced.

-t-lock
-injectors
-fuel pump
-subframe connectors
-lower control arms
the last two are for body flex and traction.
