Default Just some questions from a noob

Hi everyone, ya i'm new here but also to the whole mustang modding stuff so i have some questions. Ok, i have a 05 v6 pony all stock. I'm obviously at 210 hp 240 lb-ft, the mods i'm planning on having by the end of the summer are a Pypes dual conversion exhaust, JLT cold air intake, and the SCT x3 flash tuner. so roughly how much HP will i be at with those 3 things?

well, what do you want out of your car?? the thing with s197 mustangs is that you have to tune them for pretty much every mod (correct me if i'm wrong).

i like what you are planning on getting. CAI, exhaust, and tuner, but if you want something quicker, then def get the gears while you are at it too.

is installation of gears difficult? and are the motive performance plus 4.10 gears any good? but ok you guys are saying get gears but im also on a budget. I heard tuners make a big difference, atleast get rid of that lag stock mustangs have when first taking off

the gears would help your acceleration dramatically. Oh and as far as your hp/tq #'s just so you know, that is horsepower at the motor and not what is at the wheels, in all reality is something like 180rwhp and 205lb/tq . just an fyi.

then get yourself gears and a tuner for some instant quickness. what kind of transmission do you have? rule of thumb, get 4.10s for an auto and 3.73s for a manual.

oh, and if you have to ask if you can install it yourself, then you can't. sorry. gears aren't a noob install. try installing a few simple things on ur own, like a CAI or new throttle body.

most people spend the ~150 on gears, 75~ on install kit, ~400 on the tuner(needed since you are an automatic) and ~250-500 for install. it is not a cheap mod at all, but you will feel more from the gears/tuner then you will from an intake, throttle body, and catback exhaust.

do i need a new throttle body with the CAI? or can i just put on the CAI with the stock throttle body? (noob question) also, i was thinking just doing a 8.8 swap with 4.10s already installed and t-loc and all that, do you guys know any sites where i can find them?
