Default Mustang Help

Hey everyone, I am new to this site and have a 1994 3.8 mustang, which i'm trying to add mods to it. I'm pretty new to this and was wondering what mods would be the best to making it a lot faster and more efficient with out spending thousands. Thanks

only way to make it a lot faster would be to supercharge/turbo it. other then that you could change the gears and get all the bolton stuff for it.

if i supercharged it how much would it cost and how much more power does it give it?

also i saw these performance chips on ebay called gorilla chips for only 40 dollars. is this the real deal or just a scam because it says it can increase your hp by at least 10-20.

all those ebay chips are a scam. You will never increase HP that cheaply. A S/C can give you somewhere between a 40-80% increase. Procharger and Vortech are good brands to look into and they run somewhere around 3-5 thousand or you can find used ones on ebay

I think i am planning on saving up for a gt, but for now i want to make a couple small modifications. nothing to big, I want it to look nice on the outside as well as back it up with some speed. So far I've thought of a cia, dual exhaust, and a spoiler. any suggestions on anything else or the best deals for these things?

Also i just bought some halogen headlights for my car and was wondering a place that might install them for cheap...any suggestions?

some gears will wake it up (4.10's or 3.73's) there is a gear thread that will tell you what is the best option for you between the two. Then a handheld tuner to go with the gears. The headlights I'm guessing you bought new bulbs that is an extremely easy thing to do if you were able to install the CAI you can do light bulbs its a simple unfasten the headlight, turn the bulb, unplug bulb, then plug in the new bulb and insert it into the headlight and fasten them back up. 5min job

If you are serious about saving for a GT, don't waste your hard-earned money trying to mod this one. You could spend $3000 on mods and still get only marginal improvement, or just use the money to get a GT.

Otherwise, nitrous, tubo, or superchargre is really the only option to add big power. Nitrous can be added for about $600 and get you about 75 more hp, but you have to pay $75 to fill the bottle. Turbos will cost more then a SC. Figure on about 50% hp improvement with a SC w/o risking blowing up the motor. You will need to spend about $4- $5k on a SC installed....again, probably money better spent towards a GT.

headlights are even easier just pull the two pins from behind the headlights you can see them when your looking at the headlight ( 2 on each side) then it will slide right out put some sealant around the new ones so no moisture can get inside and you all set. If you don't want to do it I'm not sure where would install headlights I guess a body shop but its a silly thing to pay for

Headlight install takes about 5 minutes. I used to install mine at the track in the dark. It is REALLY easy to do. You just need to find the release pins and they should fall right out.

If possible, you should try to buy a 99 GT rather then a 96-98. $7k might be a little on the lowish side, but you should be able to find one....my have some miles on it.
