Smile What kind of tuner should I get?

I was just wondering what tuner would work the best for a 07 V6? I'd like to get some more mpg/hp out of it if I could and I'll be adding some other parts eventually. Any suggestions?

The ONLY tuner that I recommend is a X-Cal2 from www.vmptuning.com. It will come preloaded with 3 tunes of your choice (a mpg tune is one of the options).

i have been looking into getting a tuner for a while, but i have no idea how these things work.
are you recommending the X-Cal2 for any specific reasons? Does it have benefits over the newer x cal3? also, is there any specific reason you recommend vmp? (do they offer better services compared to other sites?)

i was thinking of getting the sct livewire tuner. has any one used one and can you still use it to tune the gears?

the livewire would be probably the more expensive choice but a good one. Otherwise, anything from SCT that meets your needs should be fine. Noone can predict your needs but you, so read the features carefully and ask about those features if you don't know what they are.

VMP is a shop with a golden reputation 'round these parts. the owner is an expert at tuning for the sixer, hence they get pretty high endorsements in the v6 section.

The XCAL2 unit is very easy to use and is very versatile. The XCAL3 is not worth the $ IMO, and VMP has been tuning V6's for many many years now.
