Default Getting Gears for my V6 3.8

My Mustang is a stick v6 3.8.....i decided to go with the 3.73 gears because i heard they were the best for my situation.....i am going to go with these.... http://www.americanmuscle.com/motivegear.html .....i just want to make sure those are the right ones to get and also how much will they cost to install. Also if anyone knows how much horsepower they will add on to my car.

Thanks alot

Gears meerly make your acceleration increase, they do not add horsepower. Expect to pay $100 or more to have them installed. While you are at it, you should have a t-lock installed at the same time.

v6mustangstuff.com has the best deal i've seen so far when it comes to the tlok's. and don't forget to get the complete bearing/gasket kit too the ones on here come w/shims so ya don't have to worry about getting them.

That's if you have a 99-04. If you have a 94-98 you will need to change the speedometer gear.

Those gears are for the 8.8" rear end found in GT's and cobras etc.. your v6 has the 7.5" rear end. You need to read the item descriptions more closely.

Tristang- a T-lok is fords name for their posi unit. Its what gives your rear wheel drive car power to both wheels. V6 mustangs do not come with them from the factory. So if your getting gears installed getting a T-lok installed too is a wise idea as its the same cost to get it installed with gears as to not have it installed.
