iac valve ?

Default iac valve ?

my iac valce only opens a tad bit whenever my switch it on is it sapossed to open half way or what

How the heck can you tell? It is an enclosed valve. Anyway, if the valve opens partially just when the ignition is on, I really have no idea. BUT, I can tell you that it should be open at idle....probably not all the way. It will open further with the a/c on.

it shouldnt be fully open because your only idling...but i agree, how in the heck are you able to see it?

i was talkin about with the car not running and the valve taken off to check it

Dude....phew...you are killing me - lol. If you take the valve off and run the car, the valve position is not gonna know what to do. The ECU throttles the valve open and closed to maintain idle, so with it pulled out, it is not representative.

Not sure if that is true. When the car is under load, I think the IAC is closed.

i was jus tryin figure out if its workin rite... my mustang has sat for a year becuz it was wrecked but im getin it bak together but i cant seem to get it start it cranks but want start ive drained gas new filter new crank sensor so i donno
