mac y-pipe exhaust

mac y-pipe exhaust
ive had this exhaust installed for a while and this has been bothering me ever since i put it on. does anyone know if the split pipe that bolts on to my stock y-pipe, is there a certain way that it needs to be put on? it is not symmetrical, and I am having a hard time getting the exhaust pipes out the back looking the same. The driver side exhuast pipe comes about an inch from the rear tire and the passenger side pipe wont go in the same spot.
If you look at the picture, you can see that the driver side one seems level, but the passenger side tip points upward.
I have tried loosening and repositioning a couple times, so now I am questioning other things.

hmm, thats odd. I had MACs on my 1995 v6... they werent even either. But it wasnt a lopsided thing, one just stuck out a bit further. I think it is just an inproper install. Unbolt the whole thing and try again... only advice I can offer. (Also, my Magnaflows on my GT are a little off, so either its a common thing for the hangars to do or I suck at installing dualies) Honestly, I just got over it and left them alone, the MACs sound SO BADASS on the sixer =D

i know its not that bad, but it bothers me.
and i have thought about just removing the tips, but there are hangers on them and they make it a lot more sturdy. without them it would probably wobble a lot, maybe too much and hit the tires. i sent an email to mac tech support and i was kind of surprised at the answer....
"YOU SHOULD BE ABLE TO ROTATE THE y A LITTLE AND GET IT TO MATCH UP.."
the answer didnt really surprise me but the fact that they sent in all caps, just seemed a little wierd...lol

lol that reminds me of the time I sent MAC an email. I asked about a product and then sent me some random response about rusting bolts... lol it was way off topic.. they must get a little confused or something

haha, see what outsourcing does to a company? lol, poor chow ming over in indonesia doesn't know the difference between rusting bolts and w/e product you inquired about.
idk if mac does outsource at all...but it's just funny.

I went ahead and picked up all OEM Ford parts - Hangers, bolts, and those fancy threaded clips. It was obviously the more expensive route, but everything hangs at the same height and my pipes match up perfectly, so I suppose it was worth it.
