Default mac exhuast

i know the mac is popular and has a pretty good sound.. but does it add any speed or acceleration to the mix if its the only mod?...

Nope, but that's pretty much true for any exhaust, for most cars.

agreed, i have that system. it sounds nice and that is all you should really look for. An exhaust and CAI will add only a few hp, and you won't notice it. So just get the exhuast that sounds the best to you.

so if i was to go with mac, and i wanted to add in the H pipe.. would i buy this one.. http://www.macperformance.com/store/...Product_ID=308.. and that would just bolt on to this h pipe.. http://www.macperformance.com/store/...Product_ID=324... is that correct? or is it better to just go with no h pipe and just the mac with the y pipe?.. i know its noob, but im just trying to get right.

either way is fine. Unless you Seriously are considering adding some Boost(supercharger/turbo) then you don't really need the H-pipe one, the Y-pipe will be fine. But the H-pipe one will have a slightly deeper tone, but will not add but mayb 1hp more then the Y-pipe system.

Also you should get that stuff from American Muscle, they offer free shipping and are the same price, maybe better.
edit: just checked, same price, plus free shipping, only bad thing is they are out of stock right now. but free shipping might be worth waiting for

I think what MVSIX is sayin is to save your time and money and just go with this:
http://www.americanmuscle.com/99-04-v6-mac-catback.html

This kit just bolts right onto your Y pipe.
The only other thing you'd need is a passenger side exhaust hanger

Essentially the performance would be no different..

That has actually been discontinued by MAC. Not completely but they no longer have any black coating on the exhaust.

I called Chris the other day about the MAC systems and he said that they were out of stock until further notice.. MAC hadn't even gotten back to American Muscle with an ETA on the resupply. Bummer dude.

been told by some other companies and if you go to the MAC website it has been taken off and replaced. As I said though its basically the same thing just doesn't have the black coating. Only the 99-04 was discontinued.
