Im about to buy a cowl hood 6 inch high lip. It says pin on. What do I need to do if my hood is bolted on? Explain pin on and bolt on.

with most aftermarket hoods the manufacturer recommends that hood pins be used since the hood weighs significantly less than the stock. The hood pins keep the hood from lifting while at high speeds. Most mustang hoods are similar in the way they are attached.
