Default SCT XCalibrator 2

I just purchased a SCT XCalibrator 2 for my 2006 mustang v6. I read the instructions before doing anything because i didn't feel like messing anything up. I plugged in the tuner under the dash like it said . Scrolled too the tune selected my octane that i wanted. After that i canceled out because i didn't want to mess with the other settings, it asked me if i wanted too download the new tune and i said ok. It download the tune and said turn off the key and push select and i did. Unpluged the tuner and started my car up and it wouldn't start. Bascially it wouldn't "turn over" So i immediatly pluged the tuner back in and reinstalled the "stock tune" So what did i do wrong? Feedback would be great. I bought the SCT XCalibrator 2 from AmericanMuscle an i have emailed americanmuscle about 3 times and no one has emailed me back and its getting kinda frustrating.

So it runs now fine with the stock tune?

Seems like it my be a problem with the PASS system. Not sure how these work on the newer cars, but it is basically a security system issue. The new program may not be recognizing your key, so it won't start.

Have you tried re-loading the new program again a second time?

These devices are finnicky. If everything is not just right, you can have issues.

I've actually attempted to install the tune about 3 or 4 times. An the same thing happens.

Hutch,

I haven't seen your email, but it's possible that we did respond and you didn't receive it. Some email programs block or automatically delete our replies for some reason.

Email me at emilied@americanmuscle.com with your problem and I'll get you an answer.

Most likely it was programmed for the wrong computer code. Its possible that your PCM has a different program in it than what is printed on the sticker on the PCM. Email me and I can help you out. Justin@VMPTuning.com
