i just got my intake in and i was looking at the pieces and i noticed the square part on one piece that bolts to something. well i looked at a pic on this site of the installation and it showed a black piece bolted in the middle of the 2 intake tubes. Where is that black piece in my 95 3.8? cuz its either obviously not where its supposed to be, or not there at all. can someone post a pic of what my motor "should" look like stock. Cuz my motor in it now says #.8 fuel injected on the block, right numbers but im kinda worried that its not the right motor.

 

thats the maf its located inside the stock airbox.

 

Yea, when you unclip the box that the air filter is in, you have a couple of clips holding a large plastic unit in it. Pop it off and then you've got the MAF on the other side and that has a couple of bolts on it that you just take off and rebolt onto the new pipe that connects to the filter. Make sure to use that rubber gasket that comes with it to seal that puppy when you bolt it together.
