Default Cold Air Intake

Thanks for the plug comments. Now what about that cold air intake that mustangtuning.com sells for 74 buks for a stock 2002 3.8 V6? Does anybody have one on their stang? What is the Hp provided? Can you feel a difference? Does it really provide fuel economy?

cai on anything is little to power gain unless the car came with some sort of forced induction. Power increase wil be 1-2hp thats it. But it helps mileage and makes the car a hair louder which is cool.

Either get the cheap MT one or the cheaper EBAY one. Both are the same really.

Will a drop in K&N filter fit on either of those two? I've been looking into getting a CAI myself, but I want to be able to reuse my filter instead of using the ones that came with it.

If you're goin' to get a drop-in K&N then just forget the CAI. You'll get about the same amount of power from it, just not the little bit of sound.

air silencer thing is the black hose like thing that goes into your fender well, the black thing surrounding your filter you need since it houses your maf, well you need it if you are keeping the stock setup...and yes a filter with removing the airsilencer will do the same thing as a CAI.

I have the MTing, CAI and it makes the engine a lil louder at WOT, U can feel a little hp at the higher rpms but not a whole lot. I'll put it this way a CAI can't hurt you...
