Personally I would recommend the Mac Catback.
Sounds great, look good, and the price is low.
Have a set on my 95 v6, definately the best choice I could have made, they are loud as hell and have tone, although they can be a bit raspy, as all exhausts will be on a six.
(went with magnaflow for my GT)

+1 for mac...i have it as well, and i was impressed with the sound for it being a 6. I think mac has the best looking setup too, the chrome tips are really nice! i have a little exhaust clip below (if it still works)

edit: didnt work when i clicked it, so ill try and put another one up, if you want to hear it

I have a clip of when I influenced mstg97 into buying a mac, lol
this clip was after the car had been sitting for awhile (several months)... usually would sound less raspy and not spew white smoke lol

Don't think so, the only ones i found online were for a newer mustang. go to your ford dealer and talk to them

How much is "plenty"?? I would recommend the MAC H-pipe while you are at it if you have enough moola.

i had ordered mine from brenspeed, only because mustangtuning hadn't started carrying this kit yet, and he got me the hanger for $50, but i know he just went to ford and picked one up so just talk to your dealer about getting one.

I'm savin' up for a Mac catback and o/r h-pipe right now. I've got about 300 bucks in the bank but I've also got my car payment and insurance payment comin' up so I'm hopin' it won't be too long.

indeed a wise idea. the money is best spent on the mac catback if you hve the money, luckily it is prettycheap and you can easily install it yourself, everything bolts right up. Stang00 had flowmasters on his v6 and it was unanimous that it had something missing in sound quality compared to my old MAC equipped v6...

I've been lookin' for a good exhaust for my sixer that won't cost me more than 600. You guys convinced me that this is the one. I want one that'll sound as deep as possible without being too raspy. I realize once I get higher in RPMs it'll sound raspy because it's a six but this'll do.

If u want decent sound with cheap price, MAC is good, otherwise, i'd look at the Spintech Side exhaust, it sounds DAMN good on a V6 and as far as looks, it's a HELL of alot better lookin then those bend down aftermarket kits,...

which ever you end up doin, if you decide with the Mac, make sure you atleast cut out the exhaust in the bumper, it looks soooo bad just bent down.

thi sis what mine looks like...

haha yea Ghost did for like a week try and convince me to get the mac exhaust... but not to hijack this thread but if i could drop the money to get the H pipe too wouldnt i have to go with a GT catback also? and would the H pipe with the gt catback sound better as compared to the v6 catback that hooks directly to my stock Y pipe on a 97' v6?

dont know mstg97... all i know is grimmz just posted lol
yeah, i forgot all about how the 99+ look silly with the tips coming out under then rear bumper because they dont have cutouts... us SN95s look completely normal with a v6 dual exhaust... but side exhaust is awesome... sound bounces back at you alot more often!

Default hey grimmz

Is your spintech side exit exhaust through your stock Y pipe? I wonder what it would look like on a sn95... and sound of course ( always have to many questions)

Since the o/r h-pipe actually makes the exhaust a dual exhaust, I think I've decided to go with some SLP's. It'll take me a little longer to save up but I'm hopin' it'll have some bad *** sound.

Yea i really really love the sound of the SLP's on a V8 and thats the way i would go if i had one but none the less ive never heard them on a v6 would love to know how they sound... So what yall think MAC H pipe with MAC gt catback? Or Straight stock Y pipe v6 catback?

MT#1 mentioned he heard them on a V6 and said it sounded good, but I've never heard them before. As for the SN95 style, I know Spintech makes a side exhaust for you.

and Yes, my exhaust is connected through my Y pipe, which will change here in a couple weeks when I install LT's and an offroad H... The sound clips I got in my sig really don't do it justice, My exhaust wasn't welded yet and u can hear it leaking alot. Now it sounds alot more throaty and mean around 1-3k, but after 3k on a 6 banger ur kinda screwed neways...

PS. Yea I'm startin to come back, lol, between work and the internet at my house goin out all the time now it's been hard to catch up. That and a million other things i'm doin now...
