Default My first Mustang !!!

Hi,
I just pickup my first Mustang Monday and love it !!!! The only thing I don't like is the shift handle. Does anyone know the thread size so I can replace it ? I'd love to find a T handle for it. Thanks in advance.

What he was trying to say was.....

"Welcome to the boards! Congratulations on the car! What year is your car?! What engine? Any mods?
Do you have any pics to show it off!?"

Just signed up didn't get all the good stuff in there yet.

But it's a 2005 4.0L V6 5 speed, Black with Gray leather interior. Traction control 6 CD and Lojack. Just drove it off the lot Monday. It was a leftover so 0 miles. I was able to get a sweet deal on it.

welcome to the boards, if I may recommend a quick cheap mod, i'd go with some tailight tints, on your black car it would look SOOOO Nice...

Congrads on the purchase...

Thanks for the welcome. I'm starting a list of the things I want to change. So far. I'm just going to be using it for a summer weekend car, so I am really going to concentrate on looks. If I needed the horse power I would have just got the GT and gone from there. So any and all ideas are appreciated

1) K&N air filter, every engine I own has one
2) Hurst Short Shifter, anyone know the part #?
3) Tint the taillights, thanks Grimmz

I dont know how much money you want to spend. But I think some 18x9 black bullets/fr500 rims would look good as hell on there with a nice drop

Those are sweet !!!!! What's a good tire to match up on them ?

And Stickercity.com has the tail light and headlight tint kits but being in Massachusetts I'm sure there is a stupid law prohibiting using the tint. Anyone know?

As for the tires go, it depends on what size you went with, I have 245/40/18's up front on my 18x9's and on my 18x10's I got 275/35/18's They're Pirelli's all the way around. I dunno if your guna be driving it in the winter at all, but these tires came recommended from a friend, I haven't yet tested them in MD in any snow cuz i been at school here in FL, but there are lots of tires to choose from. But it's easier to look into that later when your more set on actually getting rims and tires in the first place...

Personally though, if you haven't noticed I AM a huge FR500 fan...lol

As for the tints, they shouldn't be illegal, as long as you can take them off you should be ok. IF you check e-bay there are a bunch of sellers on there that sell really cheap tints for like 20 bucks...

finally as for the shifter, most people say MGW, but I don't think they have an 05 shifter yet, so then i'd go with second best which people have said is the Steeda Tri-Ax...either way you can't really go wrong.

This is really just a summer/weekend car for me. I drive my 04 F-150 most of the time. So snow won't be a consideration.

I would try the Goodyear F1 GS-D3. Thats a badass tire. I would get it if they made a 295/35/18

Default Taillight Tint

Ok, I tinted the taillights. It's 35% and I think it does let plenty of light thru and looks SWEET !!!!!
