Default 05 mustang first redesign in 24 years???

I've heard EVERYWHERE say that this new 05 stang is the first major redesign of the stang in 24 years...but lets go back and look....the 94 stang looks way different from its 93 counterpart, and there were other styles that had some major changes. What are these magazines talking about when they say "major redesign" ?

It's the platform that was redesigned. The fox body framework was in place from 79-04. It was only altered slightly with major changes in the skin until 2005. At that time everything was changed.

Basically like he said. from 79-04 you have almost the exact same suspension and setup. the 05's were built new from the ground up. A first for the mustang.

Yes and No. Doesn't the Mustang share the same wheelbase as the Thunderbird? But this is still the most redical departure Ford has done in many, many years for this car.

Nope. It is based on the T-Bird/LS platform. However I think it has a different length, and has been highly modified from its beginnings.
