Default need some tires..

ok fellas i just ordered my new rims, literally 5 minutes ago. i went with 18x9 and 18x10 silver saleens. I need some new tires to go along with them. these are only going to see the spring, summer and into early october so im looking at only high performance summer tires. i was looking on tire rack and found these: http://www.tirerack.com/tires/tires....el=Exclaim+UHP ive heard the tread life is good and traction is also very good. i wanna go big out back, i was thinking 285/35/18 or 295/35/18. and up front maybe 265/35/18. if anyone knows of another good tire that is high performance summer, id check it out, im not set on these but i like these alot and im not sure if anyone used these on a mustang before thats why im asking about them.

Nitto Invos. Awesome ride quality, great traction (dry or wet) and almost silent in road noise.

If you want something cheaper try BFG g-force sports. Thats what is on the Cobra now. Last 15-20k miles depending on how you drive. But a very good tire as well. not as high of traction as the invos though.

Please just don't get sumihomos....

+1 to sumihomos

I've heard good things about Invos, but I can't complain about my Nitto NT555's. I've driven them hard as hell this spring and summer and they were by far the best tires I've had. Now that it's winter Im sliding all over the place from a stop because it's cold. I've used up my tires and I break the tires loose when I drive agressive and shift from 1st to 2nd, but it doesn't have to be WOT.

The only bad thing about these tires is that I only got 12xxx miles out of them. But like I said I ran them hard. Also, shitty traction in the back when it's wet with low tread.

The only good sumitomo is a HTR+. Sumitomo is a drift king champ tire.

After they wear out on my 18's I gotta find something else.

For as expensive as those are, I'd look at nittos.

I've got 18x9 and 18x10 saleens and I went with AM recomended sizes which is 275x35 and 285x35 and they have the perfect amount of sidewall. My only complaint is with this combo you might want a little wider back tire so they match up better. Or maybe wider on the back and a little smaller on front, because when you look straight down on the front fender the tire sticks out a bit.
