Default big brake kit..

ok i need to get rid of my wheels, they will not accept big brakes, like the 6calipar gt500 brakes, its because of my chitty wheels the spokes are offset. i looked over at
american muscle site ithought wow good prices for what wheels i need, but you read further and it says the bullit wheels can not take the big brakes, so that bursted my bubble. I have 20inch wheels i want to keep the wheel size, where or who makes the wheels that will accept the big brake size. I know i will prolly pay more now for the right wheels. help !

if it's just the offset of the spokes can't you just use a 1/4" wheel spacer and be done with it?

no, even with the bear spacers, it still will not pass the spokes. so, i figure because of my off brand wheels, i wil need to pony up and pay prolly $300-$400 for the real "non-replica" mustang wheels. is there anybody in here who has the "big brakes" on their 197, and if so, i bet their not the bullit wheels.

Yup. Look at me.

First of all you will want a 20" wheel if you're going for big brake kits. Especially if you want a bigger than stock rotor (which you do because our cars are as heavy as a small truck).

The offset shouldn't be an issue unless you are wanting bullit wheels in which i'm pretty sure even with a heavy offset you're S.O.L.

My wheels are +24 offset I belive. Look on Shelby's actual site and make sure but it's either +/-24. The clear the bigger 2-piston PBR calipers fine and will clear up to the Baer Claw 6-pistons front and rear.

I personally don't like bullits anyways but more of a "razor" (no pun intended) look to the actual spokes. Hence why I went with my wheels.
