Tire question on sizing....
Okay so I've decided to buy some Shelby Razors 20x9 with +24mm offset to go flush with the fender well.
I've heard guys say that 255/35 is the best to go with. Now I have no idea on tires so I was going to get your opinions. I plan on using them as my road racing tires as well. Now I know 18x9's are better because there is more sidewall for racing, but I just think 20x9's are really what I want.
Soooo.....in my case would I be better running 265/35s all the way around for more rubber? What would be best?
I know that 275 is as wide as I'd probably want to go without the tire hanging over the wheel. I saw some with 295 and they were being used for drag racing.

Alot of guys fit 315 nitto DRs on a 9" rim, but they run small and bubble a bit. 275s are usually the widest you can fit, get a good set of sticky tires and you wont need anything wider than that, afterall they only use 8in wide rims in nascar.

For road racing I would want as much tire as the rim can hold without bulging. So in your case I would run 275's at all 4 corners for the most traction possible. You could even run a 285 or 295 on the back if you wanted a bit more. Good luck finding a good road racing tire in the 20" size though.

Nitto makes NT555's in 20's. What would be best tire wise? I've always used Nitto's on the Termi but are Toyo Proxes better for road racing?
I have BFG T/A KDW's on the car now and they do amazing, plus they're cheaper than both Nitto's and Toyo's. I wouldn't mind sticking with them if there isn't a huge difference.
